The reason I started this newsletter was to get into contact with Indy Dough followers in a new, more personal way and because I knew this specific email was going to come.
It’s to deliver this GoFundMe link to email inboxes.
I have an opportunity to get into a brick and mortar, and I know I’m going to need help. You can read all about it through the link here.
Here’s the thing, I’ve been working on this since October when I found this next step I can take, and now that the link is ready to share, my heart sinks every time I go to share it. All the thoughts.. what if no one donates? What if this whole thing makes me look like a fool? What if people DO donate? What if I’m criticized asking for money during a pandemic? What if what if what if? I’ll never know if I don’t just try first. I’m still a little scared putting it out on social media, so I’m going to send it out to my newsletter subscribers first... mostly because I can’t see your immediate reaction via a like or comment, and to me it feels more like sending it out into the abyss of the World Wide Web. When you see it on social media in the coming days, you’ll know I found the courage somewhere or from someone (probably my husband) to finally make the post public!
So here’s my first step, and I hope this is just the start of many progress update newsletters.
You guys are the best
Amanda
